Border patrol

Standard

As evidenced by whole tables lined with baked goods, it is clear that I bake in bulk. Why bake one thing if one can make a variety of five or six different things?

This morning en route to work with bags and boxes of goodies, all tightly wrapped in layers of aluminum foil, I was waved to the side of the road for a customs spot check as I crossed the Sweden-Norway border. What I found most strange about this encounter was that they wanted to check my ID and ask a whole lot of questions, but did not find the abundance of foil-wrapped parcels to be suspicious. (This was my first border stop; normally I cross into Norway before 5 in the morning; I doubt they often have customs officers standing outside waiting to stop people at that hour.) Check out all that foil!
