Showtime recently announced that new show House of Lies and sophomore-remake Shameless have been renewed. I was an early Shameless skeptic but was converted somewhere into the first season. I am glad to see that these shows will continue.

Showtime also announced the renewal (for the sixth season) of the tired Californication. I used to enjoy Californication but believe it should have ended last season. I keep watching this season but each episode feels so pathetic and drags along. These characters never change or learn anything, and Hank Moody continues to be a lost cause. Why can't Showtime just let this show die?
