Found objects, livestock and countryside calls to action in a Swedish non-summer

Standard

It is fair to say, as August dawns, that summer in Sweden has amounted to bucketloads of rain, a yard (and road) full of microscopic and large frogs alike and (despite the flood) countless long walks through fields and forests in the vicinity. I've made friends with my share of cows along the way and found unusual, abandoned objects in the road (a rusty axe, a shoe and a spoon, so far). And in all of this walking and walking, I have not really been tempted to bake anything. For the first time in years, I don't even have any baking ingredients on hand.

This will all change as August progresses. I will ease my way back into the habit – various people coming into town will *need* some of the goods. And I will supply.

And then the blog and its baking-related rants and rambling will resume. In the meantime here are some random shots of so-called summer (and of me!).

I sometimes stroll past your blog for a bit of a laugh when I am deep in the Lydia experience, gives me an edge and a strange sweet tooth. I should have at least stopped by close when I was in Gotenborg, (no time) like you wrote, the Swedish summer is a wet event Ciao
