Not knowing for sure what the normal road I take between my home and Gothenburg might be like, I opted to drive (yet again) more than 100 kms out of my way to ensure that I would take a safe route. But it turned out that it was about +7C everywhere, so in the week I have been away, everything melted and any road would probably have been fine. These long, long drives remind me of the old days, driving endlessly to get somewhere – anywhere in the US.
I stopped on the way home, though, to pick up ingredients for the upcoming baking extravaganza. Always a challenge – I can find virtually any type of gelatin or sweetener a person could want but no Christmas sprinkles/jimmies.
