Lunchtable TV Talk: Hemlock Grove

Halloween in New York
Standard

It’s a stretch and a pain to watch the third and final season of Hemlock Grove, recently released in its entirety on Netflix. I feel like I already invested in the two previous seasons, so now I just have to finish. It’s just *not* good.

I had some reactions to the first season (positive), but it’s progressively dumber.

I suppose this sort of timing is typical. Just before Halloween. Trying to be spooky and freaky. But it’s just boring and stupidly… self-involved. (I don’t even know how to explain what I mean.) I just started the third season, so maybe it will get better and remind me why I slogged my way through the other two. But starting this tonight, as I struggle to sleep with a sinus headache and stuffy nose, I hope it gets better.
