Teddy and I like to enjoy our summers free from baking, without heating up the oven (and thereby, the house). I do one last big bake before summer kicks in, warning my colleagues (the de facto recipients of the final product) that life and work shall be lived sans cookies (or at least sans MY cookies) until autumn.
But the urge to bake is still here. I don't actually have the time to bake at the moment, but some part of me feels an innate urge to get back in the kitchen and create something.
But instead I will look out the window. I love it when these foxglove (or whatever they are – the pink and purple wild flowers in the distance) appear.
