I set up and schedule all my poetry posts well in advance of their publication. Yet somehow so many of the poem’s themes end up being relevant on the day they are published. The last few days, while the world self-isolates, there are so many references to being alone, isolation, community. Perhaps this is all of poetry, so not at all coincidental.

We make choices and they are the right choices for the time. Or we make choices and try to make them fit the situation.
