are rays laying siege to the shadow.

imagining the security of the nest
the pillow beneath the head
the branch of basil on the window.

are the entire world
the rich in a music box
the world in a smile
the world in a bottle
the world when I tremble in love
when I surrender to your embrace
when I get near, when I see myself in your eyes
the world when you transform me into earth.
